Each disc measures \u003cstrong\u003e390mm x 34mm\u003c\/strong\u003e and takes seven months to create – seven times longer than a conventional carbon ceramic disc – with cooling vanes machined into the disc, rather than molded. The discs have four times the thermal conductivity and are 60 percent stronger than conventional carbon ceramic discs. This allows the discs to be smaller, reducing unsprung mass, yet over a typical track cycle the temperature of most braking events is 150°C cooler despite the increased performance of the McLaren 750S\/ 765LT and Elva. Brake fade and wear rates are also reduced.
